It rises deep from within,
Clings to his empty belly,
An alien yet common feeling,
Its hold powerful, gripping… crippling.
Thick bile rises from liver recesses,
Sore tortures the throat, the pipe and the larynx,
The apple bobs in furious defensive,
Heart starts, beats… furiously paces.
Pulse rapidly climbs high,
Pores open with saline,
Eyes form in circles wide,
Mind colours red as men die.
Mind paralyzed, he is prior still,
Good faculties grind to the heel,
Silence reigns, a soundless din
Plaguing him, his screams within.
Trees become men…
Wind becomes shell…
Land is a sea of blood…
Sky is a nuclear bomb…
Soon feet propel him to corner for hiding,
Crack… at the sound of loud knocking,
There is the smell of bladder… exploding,
Follows, a sad human whimpering.
Alas when they arrive at the scene,
He is dead lying in urine,
Too late to good news give,
To this war we have goodbye bid.
