End Genocide joined George Clooney, Don Cheadle, Mia Farrow and human rights groups in voicing opposition to Sudan’s President Bashir’s U.S. visa request.

United to End Genocide joined George Clooney, Don Cheadle, Mia Farrow, and several leading human rights groups in an open letter to President Obama expressing great concern over a requested visit by Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir to the United States. The letter urges President Obama to do all in his power to prevent Bashir’s trip and suggests actions that could be taken including threatening prosecution and encouraging other countries to deny him access to their airspace.

Though I am Canadian, I am one of the tens of thousands of people who wrote to President Obama
expressing my opposition to Omar al-Bashir entering the United States. My instant reaction to that possibility was overwhelming,
causing an automatic reaction. However shortly after sending the
message my instincts had me questioning if I might not have (re)acted
too quickly. My reason for this doubt was just intensified by the
    words of Jonas Gahr

realize Mr Gahr is not discussing Bashir’s potential visit to the
United States but I believe his opinion is worth considering.
