Darfur Now
Here’s how you can organize your group screening to Darfur Now:
Buy your group tickets: Purchase group sales tickets:
Activist special! Bring a group of 15 people or more, and you’ll be invited to a conference call with Don Cheadle later in November! Invite your friends, classmates, congregations and others.
Groups of 25 people or more are eligible for additional prizes, including Darfur Now merchandise signed by the film makers, bracelets from and for Darfur, free copies of the book Darfur; Twenty Years of War and Genocide in Sudan) and tickets to the premiere of a future Participant Productions release.
How you can help:
- Publicize the screening: Invite people to attend your group screening event
- Send emails to your family and friends
- Put information in your student group or congregation’s newsletter
- Invite local Darfur activists. Find a nearby Darfur activist group, join the group, and then send a message out to the group’s listserv.
- Invite your friends on Facebook or MySpace.
- Post-film activities: Invite your group to a coffee shop, your home or another nearby venue after the movie to discuss the film and take action:
- Discuss the film and its implications, using education resources from Participant Production’s website.
- Create video messages: Ask your group to add their voice and let the international community know that we want an end to the conflict in Darfur now. Bring a digital video camera or any video enabled camera or cell phone, and record your group members sending their messages. See some examples, and upload your group’s messages here.
Remember: Bring a group of 15 or more people, and you’ll be invited to a conference call with Don Cheadle later this month!
