What does the “Be a Voice for Darfur” postcard say?
Dear Mr. President,
As a candidate you promised "unstinting resolve" to end the genocide in Darfur. I urge you to keep that promise by making Darfur a priority from day one of your term and achieve:
- Protection of civilians from violence, starvation and disease
- Sustainable peace for all Sudan
- Justice for victims and accountability for perpetrators
When will Save Darfur Coalition deliver the postcards to our next president?
The 44th President of the United States will be inaugurated on January 20, 2009. The Save Darfur Coalition will begin delivering “Be a Voice for Darfur” postcards shortly thereafter. We will continue to deliver postcards throughout the first 100 days of the administration, during and after which we will assess the efforts and progress of the new administration’s response to the crisis in Darfur.
How can I order printed copies of the postcard?
We are currently unable to send out free printed cards due to the volume of requests. You can order the postcards online, for a small fee to cover our printing and shipping costs.
As an alternative, we encourage the use of our printable petition, instead, to collect signatures. Download the petition here.
If you are a partner or grassroots organization, we might be able to get you free postcards depending on availability. Please email Natasha ((JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)) for more information.
How can I get a copy of the petition?
You can download and print the petition, along with a fact sheet about Darfur, from our web site. Download the petition here.
Is there a fee for postcards?
Due to high demand, we are now charging for postcards. The prices are as follows:
- 100 Postcards = $15
- 250 postcards = $25
- 500 postcards = $40
- 1,000 postcards = $65
How long will it take to receive my postcards?
7-10 days after your order is received.
Which of my information is required to complete a postcard or the petition?
The online version of the postcard requires your name and email address. The hardcopy postcard or petition requires only your name. However, by providing the Save Darfur Coalition with the means to contact you, we can assist you in being engaged and up to date as a Darfur activist.
What will the Save Darfur Coalition do with the information collected on the postcards?
